Classic Turkey Burger

Serves 4 // Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

For the Turkey Burger: 

340g Turkey Mince 

4 Wholegrain Burger Buns 

Lettuce 

Tomato 

4 Slices Cheddar Cheese 

3 Tbsp. Chipotle Sauce 

3 Tbsp. Light Mayonnaise 

1 Tbsp Rapeseed Oil 

Black Pepper 

For the Pickled Vegetables: 

½ Cucumber (Thinly Sliced) 

½ Red Onion (Peeled & Thinly Sliced) 

2 Tsp. Santa Maria Pickling Mix 

Method:

  1. Add the pickling mix to the cucumber and red onion and leave to sit for 20 minutes. 

  2. Shape the turkey mince into four 85g patties. Press these flat and season with black pepper. 

  3. Heat the rapeseed oil in a frying pan and seal the patties. 

  4. Place in the oven until a core temperature of 75°C is reached. 

  5. Toast the burger bun. Mix the chipotle sauce and mayonnaise together and place on the base bun. 

  6. Place the lettuce and tomato on top of the base bun. 

  7. Place the cheese on top of each patty and let it melt. Once melted, place on top of base bun. 

  8. Add the pickled cucumber and red onion on top and add the top bun. Place a skewer through the middle and serve.
