Turnip and Potato Patties

Easy.

Cooking and preparation time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. Oil

  • 3-4 Small Potatoes, diced

  • 2-3 Turnips, diced

  • 60g Plain flour

  • 1 Large Egg

  • 2-3 green scallions

  • Ground white pepper, to taste

Method:

  1. Wash the potatoes, scallions and turnip well to remove any dirt.

  2. Boil the turnip and potato together until tender for approx. 20 minutes. Drain and mash cooked vegetables well with a masher.

  3. Mix in the scallions, egg, flour and pepper. Heat the oil in a frying pan and spoon in the pattie mixture.

  4. Flatten each one with a the back of the spoon. Cook until golden brown on each side. Serve.
